On the south end of Phuket, South of Kata Noi and north of Promthep
Cape, the white beach of Naiharn could be seen. It is not the longest
beach of Phuket, but it boarders the most gorgeous lagoon on the island
with only a few hotels and a few bars and restaurants. The soft sand
and clear water make it an ideal swimming and sunbathing spot. A wide
variety of swimmers should be alert for the red flag warning of dangerous
currents during the monsoon season from May to October.
This is also a popular anchorage during the dry season for bigger
sail and motor -boats. If you like to look at boats then try to come
here during the yearly King’s Cup Regatta. During this time
you can see the boats competing against each other and also have a
chance to take closer look at them. (Bring you binoculars)
